High-content imaging and single-cell genomics are two of the most prominent high-throughput technologies for studying cellular properties and functions at scale. 

Although conventional flow cytometry is limited to measure small particles down to approximately 300 nm – 500 nm, an innovative flow-cytometric method called “imaging flow cytometry” allows the analysis and imaging of EVs smaller than 300 nm.
